Founded in 2021, Kingston Ward Projects is a full-service art consultancy specializing in collections management, curatorial projects, and the preservation of underrepresented artistic legacies.

I began my career as the Director of Target Gallery - the contemporary exhibition space for the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA. Throughout my five-year tenure at the non-profit, I worked with over 500 international artists, producing a total of 35 exhibitions and the gallery’s annual fundraising gala showcasing 150 local artists. Additionally, I co-founded the CRAVE program––Creating Resources for Artistic Vision and Engagement––the first and only micro-granting dinner series for creative projects in the DC Metro area.

In 2016, I moved to New York to pursue my Master’s in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and graduated with honors in 2018. Since then, I’ve not only developed a deep understanding of the art world’s complex ecosystem, but also a rich network of peers and professionals at almost every major institution in New York. My projects have allowed me to collaborate with some of the most prestigious galleries, artist estates, private collections, appraisers, auction houses, writers, graphic designers, advertising firms, and art handling teams in the city.

With over a decade of experience in the arts, I bring a diverse skill set honed through a wide range of roles across commercial galleries, non-profit organizations, art fairs, and cultural institutions. My unique breadth of experience in the industry allows me to provide a wide variety of services to my clients, including inventory solutions for artists, estates, collectors, and appraisers, and logistics management for exhibition and art loan programs. In addition to consultancy work, I have served on the steering committee of the Professional Organization for Women in the Arts since 2017. In 2020 I became a committee Co-Chair, moderating the longstanding Colleagues & Friends conversations, and dedicating efforts to industry-wide Healthcare Impact and Salary Surveys, which aim to create a more equitable and transparent art world.
